Walking holidays in the South Downs
Hydro Hotel is located at the foot of the South Downs National Park and within walking distance of Beachy Head. Enjoy an energetic walk from the hotel and head towards the steep track as you turn right when leaving the hotel and heading away from Eastbourne Pier. It can be accessed by either walking along the road or the paved path adjacent to the beach.
Beachy Head can be reached in under an hour with a strenuous walk, climbing from sea level to 531 feet at its summit. Enjoy views to the east over Eastbourne and beyond to Bexhill and Hastings and view to the west over the South Downs and Seven Sisters. There is a visitor centre at the top and a pub restaurant, with an ice cream van regularly in attendance.
The hotel offers a dedicated boot room for storing walking boots, coats and rucksacks. It also has a washing machine and tumble drier for free guest use and can be found near to the side entrance that leads to the car park.
